Missy & Jonathan ~ Engagement ~ April 2011

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Missy and Jonathan on the University of Washington campus when all the cherry blossoms were in bloom.  We had so much fun climbing trees, walking around campus, and enjoying the beautiful weather.  Here are some of my favorites:

Tricia & Garret ~ Engagement ~ April 2011

A couple weeks ago, I had the pleasure of doing an engagement session with Tricia and Garret.  Although it did get rather cold towards the end of the session, we all had a great time.   I am definitely looking forward to photographing their wedding this fall!

Tricia and Garret met on Jury Duty several years ago, so we decided to start the day off where it all began… reading books in one of the jury rooms at the Regional Justice Center in Kent.  Afterwards, we headed up to Discovery Park (one of my favorite spots to do engagement sessions).

Children ~ Lima, Peru ~ March 2011

Well, it certainly has been awhile since my last post… though it certainly hasn’t been for lack of busy-ness!  In addition to launching a new look for my blog-site (thank you, ProPhoto.com!), I also went on a trip to Peru with a group of people from my church.  We spent most of our time visiting a community on the outskirts of Lima.  Much to my enjoyment, the kids there loved having their pictures taken and then seeing the photos on the back of the camera.  It was great to see how my camera became a way for us to connect, even though we didn’t speak the same language (I did pick up a little Spanish while I was there, but not enough to really have a conversation with anyone).  Some of my favorite pictures of the kids can be in the slideshow here:

Christine,
These photos of the children are absolutely beautiful! Each face is a story. Thanks for sharing!

Terri & Loren ~ Headshot Session ~ May 2010

This past spring, I got the opportunity to do a headshot session with both Terri and Loren.  We all had a great time both outdoors and in the studio.  Both of them were very fun to work with.  Terri was looking for headshots to advertise her musical talents and abilities and Loren was looking for a basic business headshot.  (By the way, if you’re looking for a awesome flute teacher or flute player, let me know – Terri’s great!).
